every child has the gift of providing innocent insight as he discovers the world around him. i think it's a gift from God - so that parents don't go clinically insane with the stresses of raising a kid. after four years of being amazed -and at times perplexed- by my son Nile's journey through childhood, it's time to write it all down. although i tell myself it would be impossible to forget, i know some day i will cherish being able to read this. and i will still be shaking my head.
