"Her name is Adeline. It's defnitey not Bob Roe's or Wally." -Nile setting the record straight during prayers tonight. He had really wanted us to name her Bob Roe's.

every child has the gift of providing innocent insight as he discovers the world around him. i think it's a gift from God - so that parents don't go clinically insane with the stresses of raising a kid. after four years of being amazed -and at times perplexed- by my son Nile's journey through childhood, it's time to write it all down. although i tell myself it would be impossible to forget, i know some day i will cherish being able to read this. and i will still be shaking my head.
