what is normal?

A sweet college girl watched Nile and Adeline today because JoJo took the day off.  It sounds like it went O.K... everyone was in one piece by the end of the day.  But for some reason, Nile kept telling the sitter, "This is what normal people do."  All. Day. Long.  What does that mean?  And what was he doing?
