Out of all of the new toys Nile had to choose from for his first "show and tell" at preschool after Christmas, he chose his magic wand.  He said he wanted to make Elle (a super-cute classmate of his, that he really likes) disappear.  When we got home that afternoon and took the wand from his backpack I asked him how it went. He held the wand in both hands and looked at it, pretty discouraged, saying "I waved my magic wand and said magic words, but she was still there.  It just doesn't work...Yet!"
